I appreciate Jose, the manager of my casita for introducing me to Chef David. Once I checked in, he walked me over to the restaurant where I was welcomed with open arm. I decided to try the lobster, and I was not disappointed. It was delicious, so I went back the next day to try the tacos. I am in love and could eat here every day. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. If you are in Tulum, make sure you treat yourself with a few dishes from Taqueria Speedy....you will not be disappointed!

Amazing 100% local restaurant and amazing owner. David is not only an exceptional chef but he will tell you about the history of Tulum and other places he’s lived. His food is always super delicious and he takes that extra step for people to come back. I will always go back there whenever destiny brings me back to the mayan riviera.

A great taco spot with some of the best tacos we had in Tulum. The Huaraches and the chorizo were excellent, and I highly recommend them. They had Cerveza as well, priced a little too high (80 pesos), but the prices otherwise were ok.

If you are in Tulum you need to try this Taqueria. Everything we had here tastes absolutely delicious. The Margaritas in there are what they need to be, they are not shy with the alcohol, simply loved it.

Taqueria Speedy was our crowd favorite with different food preferences. First morning after arriving in Tulum, we picked up some breakfast on the Christmas morning. Everyone liked it so much that we came back for 2 more dinners. Out group size was 15 with 7 vegetarian and 5 foodies!!! Speedy Taqueria took care of everyone. Food quality is good and we loved supporting a family restaurant!!! Chilaquiles (vegetarian and huevo), birria, al pastor, Cameron's and stuffed jalapenos (for vegetarian- request without bacon) were our favorite. Ask for theor spicy salsa. Salsa Rojas was yummy!!! Verde has a great flavor. Must try Taqueria in Tulum

Having eaten at Pasha Tulum next door yesterday—the biggest scam restaurant in Tulum—this place was a breath of fresh air. It’s honest, serving authentic local food with generous portions at street-food prices. I wasn’t very hungry, so I got two chicken tacos for 50 pesos. I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes when I’m hungrier.

After 10 days of eating at many different restaurants in Tulum, this was the best. Once we found this hidden gem we ate here everyday and got to enjoy many delicious meals as well as meet the sweet owner and his family. The tacos, burritos, guacamole, service, and fresh ingredients were amazing! Wish we could eat here everyday in the future! Will always think of this restaurant when thinking about Tulum!!

Authentic amazing local food. Small family owned restaurant . We ordered the guacamole, fried plantains and a variety of tacos and fajitas. Everything was super delicious not a single plate was left with leftovers. Someone in our group wanted a Coke zero which they unfortunately didn't have and the restaurant went above and beyond to organize a bottle from nearby. That's world class service. The restaurant atmosphere was enjoyable with a mix of salsa and local Mexican music and it felt more like you were part of the family. If you're looking for a rustic authentic experience this is the place to definitely visit. Our next visit to Tulum will definitely include this place.
